This is a sad but essential truth. It was always just a remnant. A remnant went into the arc, a remnant followed Christ, a remnant fled Jerusalem in 70 a. D. when they saw the Roman troops surrounding the city, a remnant joined the Protestant reformation. It’s a remnant who base their faith on personal bible study. Don’t trust, verify.

It’s a remnant that believes He is coming again. As Mark Twain quipped, whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority; it’s time to pause and reflect. The Lord Jesus Himself warned when He said enter by the narrow gate and it’s few that find it.

Remnants and narrow gates make me think of pixel 50,50 - the loneliest coordinate that somehow always ends up being the center of everything.
