Say #damus launches a subscription plan tomorrow.
What do you expect out of a subscription? What are you willing to pay to help pay Will and grow the Damus dev team?

Will double my efforts to look for ways for damus to be profitable. Grant funding is not sustainable or reliable. It is very likely that Damus will fail down this route, but I need to try. The only way for damus to be independent is to be powered by our users.

5€ in sats every month. But first I need an android version.
A visible zap goal bar to secure needed monthly funding
I’ll pay $10 a month to get a purple star mark. I don’t even care about that star 🐶🐾🫂💜🙏🏻
🫂
just take a small cut of zaps or launch a paid to unlock feature where zaps are enabled after paying apple for the feature
launch an archive service
I’d pay a subscription just for publish access to a good relay… in fact I already do with Wine
For an Android version I'd pay 5$ a month
launch a paid caching service that improves data usage and battery life
I just checked the GitHub repos. I’d be giving yall $10 a month right now for the existing product if sponsorships were available.
First rule of business: it should be as easy as possible for the customer to give you their money.
As far as V4V, I’d expect Damus to always give me the option to disable any other revenue streams that may become part of nostr in the future. Basically, if ads ever become a thing, paying to support should 100% get rid of that.
💪
I would pay 5,000 sats every month.
Nothing is free and that includes Damus.
multi accounts within the app
Take a small % of zaps made through the platform by default (like Snort does). Option to opt out as well.
Also where did my 100% contributor star go? I can’t see it anymore
Premium subscription with access to paid relay that doesn’t get nuked 😉
