And what useful or genuinely good things have these thousands of builders actually brought us? Other than grift, rug pulls, and broken or retarded wallets, I mean? Are we any closer to separating money from the state than we were 10 years ago? Are more people running nodes or practicing self-custody, or fewer? Or do you like the prospect that, another 10 years from now, there will be nothing but stablecoins moving on-chain and probably on Lightning too? What’s the point of having all these builders if everything they’re building is ultimately inconsequential, backdoored, or surveilled? What’s the point of having a protocol where five mining nodes can ignore or veto the will of the network? Do you ever ask yourself these questions?
