The problem is that most people refuse to face reality, because reality is harsh—very harsh. I’ve spent my whole life working in computer science; it’s my passion. But I admit that neither cryptography nor technology will set us free—the government uses them against us, and control is only growing. Not even Bitcoin has managed to change anything. The same goes for ideologies; it’s hard to admit that none of them solve the problem, because the problem is human beings themselves.
