Hi #nostr
I’m trying to migrate my nostr:npub1aghreq2dpz3h3799hrawev5gf5zc2kt4ch9ykhp9utt0jd3gdu2qtlmhct node from a Raspberry Pi 4 that boots from a MicroSD (1T SSD which forced me to prune the blockchain) >
> to a Raspberry Pi 5 (2T SSD) which boots directly from the SSD.
Any recommendation so i don’t lose my nostr:npub1getal6ykt05fsz5nqu4uld09nfj3y3qxmv8crys4aeut53unfvlqr80nfm lightning channels which i use for zaps ? Or other relevant data?
Also, last time i had to sync the blockchain it tool almost 2 weeks: does my old node need to be turned off while the blockchain of the new one syncs?
Anyway, any guide, tips, warnings, etc?

Remember talking about this with someone but can’t be sure who 🥲😇
Make sure to have a valid channel backup and seed words before proceeding!
Plenty of guides out there.

Yea I had the same issue. I ended up closing all my lightning channels and moving funds completely off my node, to be safe and sure I don’t end up loosing anything.
I disconnected my old ssh 1tb with the old data and connected my new drive and installed umbrel.
Now instead of downloading the entire block chain again from scratch I actually reconnected my old 1tb that had all the blockchain data downloaded already and I copied the data folder from old drive to the new one and rebooted.
Boom data was all there, just missing a few percent which took a day or 2 to complete.
