I can't watch it all the way through. I get to "there will never be more than a fixed number of bitcoin and that means by default it can never be used by trade..." and I start to feel second hand embarrassment for him. I feel my IQ drop 20 points and have to bail out.

He is right from currency standpoint .. Bitcoin has zero value as far as medium of the exchange use case .. .. all its value is based on SoV concept .. which is the real use case anyways .. cuz it is digital gold ..
When Bitcoin is 100x from now don't be like Peter. Don't talk confidently about stuff you know nothing about just because you got successful in some other area.
Dude is proof that as long as you sound confident enough for long enough and tell a simple (but wrong) story that people want to hear, you can usually find an audience.
