Were your findings congruent with historical medical practice of balancing sodium intake/avoiding a diet high in sodium long term? Any new takeaways from modern medicine to change the way look at food?
What about the geriatric community? Any new changes or recommendations?

Great question, friend. For people at risk of cardiovascular disease, salt intake should be 1 teaspoon per day. Unfortunately, our food is so processed that it disrupts our way of life. Regarding the older population, this recommendation to change salt intake is for at-risk groups and those over 60 years.
