Yes? 256 bit encryption works without an english translation. (Although I think you meant /weren't/ self-sovereign) But it's more a reliance upon their backup system and 'trust me bro' approach to key management I am criticizing. "Lose your seed phrase" just has really bad optics.

Are we pretending that 12 words are too difficult for someone to secure? Wait until you hear about sentences and paragraghs!
Yes. I get a card in the mail that works better. I don’t even have that money in the bank yet, but. Can get that stuff now. And if you are talking about “digital gold” I can’t afford new shoes. That the target. Not theory. But giving hope by the easy means possible.

Look, I'm not trying to convert you. You can keep using a piece of chalk that is crumbling in your hands to keep writing, but eventually it runs out. Either get Bitcoin, or have fun staying poor. Trying to memorize bank account and routing numbers, passwords, and usernames, authentication apps, and emails is definitely harder than remembering 12 words, so I don't really want to hear how the current banking system is more efficient or easier. It truly isn't. People just skip over all of the stuff they already know how to do, because they don't have to relearn it.

There's so many it would take me all day. Desktop: Sparrow Nunchuck Bitcoin Keeper Mobile: Nunchuk Electrum Bitcoin Keeper Hardware Signers: Coldcard Q Foundation Passport Keystone Pro 3 Basic instructions: 1. Create a seed phrase using a hardware signer. 2. Create a wallet in any above bitcoin softwares. 3. Assign your key (seed phrase) to the wallet 4. Write you seed phrase down for backup on something durable (steel preferred) 5. Send bitcoin to an address in your wallet. That is how.
