Possibly ethereum, but they have different uses so you can’t really judge it’s success by Bitcoin. Ethereum, to me, feels like the online currency of choice, there are plenty of shitcoins out there but ethereum seems to be the one that shows up all the time when discussing web3. Most of the others also seem to be wrapped up in the NFT nonsense, like solana. I wouldn’t call them gimmicky, but very niche.
