Ten years ago, we had the same conversation we are having today.
It basically follows the same line as nuclear fusion.
Possible? Yes.
Right now? No.
In 10 years? No.
Could it be in 40 years? Yes.
And could it be in 100 years? Also yes.
The thing is, now they're shoehorning it in to institutional investors.
In this case, I think Willy Woo is a bad actor.
There’s no such thing as a quantum computer. It’s not even a thing. It’s just adding an obscure word to the word computing to create FUD. It reuses the term from quantum physics, which are mathematical models for things we can’t explain mechanically. I wish people would scratch at least the first layer…
CRQC is more like perpetual motion than fusion. Fusion occurs in nature. Speculative inventions that propose to defy the basic laws of nature should not be taken seriously
