That’s not what he said. He was clear that his biggest issue was with Satoshi being anonymous and he mentioned nothing about privacy or anything like that. He is still stuck on that and on gold

Anonymity protects privacy, a cornerstone of liberty. Is not scarce digital coin a superior implementation, free from gold's physical limits?
