Bits vs Sats
100 million bits = 1 bitcoin
Feels like it’s just so much easier to understand than Sats.
A BITCOIN is the whole amount and a bit is a smaller unit of a bitcoin.
I’m willing to bet if we explained this to people using bits vs sats, it’ll probably click better. Especially for those that can’t wrap their head around the unit bias issue.

If you can't understand the difference between Sats & Bitcoins you shouldn't be using Bitcoin.
Life isn’t so black and white.
Will agree to disagree. 🫡
People have really been struggling with the concept of cents, should just be called dolls to not confuse people.
bitcoin is for everyone, even pre-coiners or boomers. bits of a bitcoin is easier to explain to an 80 year old than sats
Being facetious doesn’t contribute to the conversation. If you don’t have anything thoughtful to say because you disagree, then just keep it moving and no need to reply.
Dollars & cents really been fucking over 80yr olds.
Dolls it is.
If you think it's being facetious you're insecure at best...
It's a real comparison.
I wish you the best 🫡
I wish you many Sats, as they are the standard ofc.
Bitcoin is for anyone, not everyone.
I’ll take that.
I prefer Sats but would understand people wanting to use Bits instead.
Same here regarding sats. I’m just posing a thought that’s not new, but I thought it was interesting and I can see how telling someone just keep stacking 5 million bits, 10 million bits until you get to a whole bitcoin. It’s not a bad bridge to walk on explaining it that way.
The problem isn't in your explanation it's what they're going to run into when they download a wallet & see Sats.
And when they do, I’d tell them it’s the same idea, by then they’ll have crossed the bridge.
At the end of the day, just throwing an idea out there. Everyone will onboard newbs in ways that works for them. As long as people are saving in hard money, rising tide lifts all boats.
Not if the wallet implemented bits at 1:1million & not 1:100million.
Which I'm pretty sure some have.
Confusing AF.
