One irony of @Luke Dashjr's CASF (CSAM activated soft fork) is that users would have to go and see that there's ndeed CSAM in an OP_RETURN, which AFAIK would actually be illegal. (I know I certainly won't do it.)

(This refers to the reactive scenario.)
Police generally have legal authority for this type of work. They will have to initiate the activation.
Nothing says Bitcoin like "the police will initiate the activation".
Are there test vectors -- positive and negative -- provided in the BIP? 🫣
What does CSAM stand for?
Child Sexual Abuse Material.
(Luke proposes that if someone includes CSAM in an OP_RETURN, the blockchain should be rolled back, and that should then be used as the launch point for an “anti-spam” soft fork.)
Nothing says retard like I cant make a thought expreriment and extrapolate likely scenarios into the real world
Hello dear, how are you doing?
It’s me Maye musk, Elon’s mom , are you a
fan of my son?❤️
No.
OK. It's fine! What's your name? Where are you from?
Luke is salivating over the thought of this moment.
Which is antithetical to everything bitcoin stands for. No rollbacks. It's not ETH.
Core V30 makes this scenario easier.
BSV after changing OP_RETURN to 100 KB

"After being told of the content by local authorities, BitcoinFiles.org removed it from its websites and gave Money Button the bad news that its service had been used as a conduit. Said Money Button:
We have confirmed that was the case and we have banned the user responsible for creating those transactions.
Money Button’s statement makes no mention of the type of illegal content, but the BBC confirmed that child abuse images were involved after talking to Money Button founder, Ryan Charles.
Why has this happened now?
The short answer is: because it can – the ability of BSV to store data recently expanded.
Money Button provides this service completely for free, and the only fees paid are to miners, which at present market prices are only about 7 US cents per 100 KB."
Already happened 6 years ago. Retardation or acting in bad faith? Or both?

I also won't do it
Then how would you know?
Hmmm…. You don’t have to go look to see if it’s there if you’re the one who put it there, that’s how the Knotts team will know.
I'm more worried about you putting CSAM on chain.
**** This just in.. pedoland under 'pedo software' "crisis" ****
