Does Bitcoin require belief?

good question. If no-one ever believed in it, then it could never take off. If everyone in the world believed in it without even understanding it, then it would take off. Understanding is better than believing though.

Understanding is not binary but rather a spectrum. I'm not in the business of gatekeeping where someone sits upon that path. I'd rather they just be on the path.
