Bitcoins design was retarded. Look at the market manipulation that miners are doing now.
It takes way too much power and time to process transactions
At the block chain grows, it will take longer and more power.
Bitcoin doesn't use enough energy yet, of myriad reasons, one important factor is that block time still has too much volatility.
Should be very stable one day, almost unshakeable.
