Kinda. If you choose to memorize your seed or just burn it, they can’t do mind reading yet ( I don’t think).
No one can take your Bitcoin... if you do it right.
It was probably in a hot wallet or they raided the dude and the 12 words were written next to the computer.
I hear they're quite good at torturing, though.
