Do you want to be the next Twitter or the next Internet?
Make up your minds and stop whining like a little bitch.

Y'all literally just watched millions of users jump from one social media app to another because that crap is a worthless commodity pretending to be a business. Their entire income model depends upon proprietary data mining and yo, we're ending that.
And y'all all, OH PLEASE LET US BE NEXT! ๐๐ผ
Oh, really?

๐ what's happening.
My feed is full of devs whining that we're not getting the Brazilian refugees.
Development attention span of a toddler. Geez.
We literally just figured out embeddings and DVMs, and most of the events and clients are still very beta. Relays are deepening and widening, but we're still tinkering.
We need more time. We can handle onboarding some Bitcoin Twitter tefugees. We can't handle friggin Brazil, ffs.
They were hoping for the samba dancers.
Nah, but I mean in all seriousness. If course nostr wants to be the protocol for the deplatformed. When a nation gets deplatformed and decides to join another centralized platform so the rugging happens again, it's not what your average nostr dev is hoping for.
I would like to be a better #Twitter AND a better #internet. And better #money. #soundmoney like #bitcoin of course. I think we just #grownostr one step at a time.
LOL hasn't twitter been banned for like two days?
You can't be a Better Twitter. Twitter is the Better Twitter, and it's run by one of the greatest genuises of our time, but it's still going to crash and burn because the entire concept is outdated.
Where we are going, is After Twitter.
Post Twitter.
The world beyond the Twitapocolypse.
Yup.
We are a home for the people who need censorship resistence the most. That is why we exist. We don't have to meet some quarterly sales target.
The people who the judges are after will be better off here, behind a real, effective nym, than on Bluesky. They will slink over, one by one, because nobody can stop them from speaking and publishing, here, and they can build up a reputation and earn real money, without doxxing themselves or being censored.
We solved the hardest use case on the base layer.
Don't we have a Bluesky bridge? Can't we let them be safe here, and cross-post to the normies on BlueSky?
Yea, but whining isn't a strategy. And their naivety won't help keep them optimistic. It's a good idea to not become overeager when onboarding that many people. Let the people go use other centralized platforms until they get rugged again. They'll learn. The people regulating the platforms can't prevent the natural devastation that comes with being outdated.
I can't wait to see how banks will handle their demise.
