TLDR: wake the fuck up & stop being slaves Yesterday at @npub10f4m...tgeh I was on a panel with ladies from Mastercard, Binance & Xapo bank. We talked about why financial literacy is important for women. When blockchain technologies, digital assets and investment vehicles were thrown around excessively, I had to balance & remind we’re at a *bitcoin* conference and highlight what the protocol enables. My blood boiled when I heard “it’s OK to have government surveillance because we’re a regulated entity & must comply with rules that are good and important”. 🤯 “Government surveillance is NOT OK. No surveillance is OK” - I pushed back and once again reminded everyone we’re free creatures with free will and we’re moving into an era in which every individual, weather they’re acting for themselves or representing a business/institution - will face a fork in the road and will have to choose if they want freedom or surveillance. Fiat or bitcoin. They won’t coexist forever. In fact they can’t coexist and we’re in a transitory phase in which one is penetrating the other, and time and human action will tell which one will prevail. Take agency. Live free.
