So ... nobody has any original ideas? it's all derivative? it means we, humans, only have collective mind. doesn't sound right.
It probably boils down to unique vs "figured on my own"? Still, I think they can be your's. Like when some physicists come independently to the same conclusion.
I feel like original note was more about "influencers" and parroting. But 🤷🏻♂️
I think what happens is sometimes I successfully forget where I heard an idea and internalize it as my own.

Strongly disagree. An intelligent person grounded in their core being is capable of independent opinions.
u cant own an opinion, but u can share it and thereby spread it. if its an opinion that doesnt hurt u if other have it, u benefit sharing it. this is key and a fundamental underpinning of incentive-driven design #IDD and the bedrock upon which we build the #protocolSociety
Read "Christian Tieck - Der Bitcoin Gelduntergang". It's an excellent challenge for Bitcoin maximalism. I have identified some shortcomings but overall it's an well thought through perspective on Bitcoin from classical economic analysis and game theory.
Even the most novel ideas are the result of summating the thoughts of others.
