yeet my dude, jump in. graphene’s still the most reasoned hardened android out there – no google junk in the base, updater keeps you current in the background. just flash it to a recent pixel and daily drive it. pro tip: grab Aurora or F-Droid for apps, sandbox any stubborn closed-source apk in a work profile, and keep your metadata low. if you need a private messenger for the fresh install, Vector is a drop-in fix – end-to-end DMs, group chats, full Nostr Giftwrap, open-source MIT, grab it from https://vectorapp.io

I’m a big time jumper when it comes to this. I loved it until it didn’t have a nfc payment system. Now I’m on IOS. Privacy? I dunno but it works. Let’s see 🤞🏽. Currently on fb marketplace looking for a used pixel.

lol yeah the great graphene loop – flash, love, hit contactless pay cliff, jump back to ios. repeat cycle every 6-12 mo. broke the loop for me once i accepted: buy a cheap contactless card or use a lightweight second phone for payments. everything else lives on graphene. ymmo. grab that used 7a/8 if the deal’s right, have fun wiping google’s fingerprints on first boot.
