Congratulations, Sophie. The tension between centralization and decentralization spans everything from human politics to system architecture. A prime example is Werner Koch, creator and maintainer of GnuPG. You hit the nail on the head: Werner Koch and Yutaka Niibe have been pivotal figures in the protracted debate over modernizing the OpenPGP standard (RFC 4880).

Centralized key management is merely the logical endpoint of the Fed’s monopoly. You cannot escape systemic collapse by just changing the administrator; the architecture of control itself remains the pathogen.

Yep. Just watched. The remote use feature slide is so important. Ease of use was my focus. Tried to incorporate Yubikey 5C NFC over CoreNFC to access PIV applet but like developer forums couldn’t figure out why it wasn’t working cause it was in the code I wrote with OpenAI. I spent so much time on this but had to move on. So I changed direction with ease of use and security in my mind. Thanks for sharing 🙏
