Bitcoin launched in 2009 with simple payments. 10 years later work began to create smart contract functinality over bitcoin. After a long 6 year wait the first smart contracts were released to main net last week. Now an eco system is growing up building tools, libraries and contracts. Still early, like the very first days of nostr 5-6 years ago. But it improves every day and will hopefully take market share from other chains, back to fair coins such as bitcoin.

No, that's ordinals. They are bad. The block chain is not cloud storage. Instead of spamming the block chain with images, you can put a pointer (like a short url) to them. Smart contracts are a full verifiable commerce layer on top of bitcoin. Just as companies and firms have a currency they use. A full digital free market can be built on top of bitcoin. The first fair and open free market the world has seen. It's a big idea.
