He is only the mayor of new York not the president of the US

Thatβs what I was about to say haha
Today in New York, tomorrow in the whole country...
You don't know how it is, we felt it already.
Kind of my thoughts, how much damage can the mayor New York City actually do to the country? I seriously doubt heβll turn NYC into a model city for the rest of the country, probably the opposite
When the revolution started in Romania, it started in TimiΘoara, and people started shouting "Today in Timisoara, tomorrow throughout the country", and it happened, same thing here, it's starting in New York...
May God forbid you to experience what we experienced.
And it started from a priest, not a mayor so powerful like the New York mayor.
I see what youβre saying but the population of Romania is about the same as New York State. I feel like itβs far less likely to spread through the entire US considering the vast differences in ideology between the states. Not saying it canβt happen though
I get it,Iβm not trying to minimize it. But it will be more concerning when someone like him becomes president. Even with a city as big and important as New York, I think most of the problems a mayor like him wants to βfixβ with socialism canβt even be fixed at the city level anyway when the entire fiat system still exists.
Unnecessary ending as his country went the route of communism 1st, but otherwise, everything else he said things true.

Just 1 step until someone like him will become president, if already happened in a major city, it can happen in the entire country.
Don't take it so easy. Just saying.
People were saying same thing until communism took over the countries of eastern Europe including half of Berlin, not just Romania.
Think again, look through history...
It's not "far less likely"
Could have better been worded as typical humans take the same action as the same playbook is enacted in a new country.
Agreed. He didnβt need to bring nationality into it. Communism prays on the weak minded and lays the same bait every time, no matter the country/nationality

Doesn't matter which form of government you are for, it is susceptible to corruption.
