I've read Hoppe too and I think the point is not wrong. But Hoppe also argues both democracy and monarchy are meh. 🙃

Most princes are forbidden to speak on any political issues, god forbid the Tories are preffered above Labour and vice versa. If you can speak freely you are free indeed.
