Why do I need an email now to finish donations?
I never needed an email before, but now it always tells me "Email is required when subscribing to updates.",
I'm not subscribing to updates though, at least my profile settings say so and I can't find any settings on the projects pages to un-subscribe.
Please just make it easy to shut those email-updates off, so you don't need my email anymore for a service that I don't wanna use anyway.
I can get projects updates on the projects pages just fine.

Hey sorry about the issue. You should never be required to add an email when making a donation! Only if you are subscribing to updates.
This might be a bug, can you clarify that
1. You had the chance to deselect the subscribe button
2. Can you try refreshing and trying to fund again? Do you get the option to deselect the subscribe to updates button?

I just shared your concerns with @Geyser and they told me it was a bug or that you wanted to purchase a product.


1. No, I dind't have a chance to (de)select anything.
2. I've tried this multiple times, with days in between (in fact I just tried it again), I guess that counts as "refreshing".
And no, I don't get the option to deselect the subscribe to updates button,
didn't even know a button like that exists.
The only options I get are to tell you my email, write a comment, or just leave.
The only setting I can find to deselect subscribtions is in my profile and it's been OFF since I joined geyser.
I can't find any other way anywhere to un-subcribe to project updates, even tried to un-follow, but that didn't work either.
That's why I asked you to make it easy to find such a button.
Thanks, I never purchased any product though, so it' probably a bug, but I kinda knew that already.
I was able before to donate without problems, it's just lately that I can't,
well, at least not while logged in, anonymous donations still work fine.

Oh and btw I'm using chrome on desktop, not any mobile-app you might or might not have (I don't even know).
