When journalists remain unbiased and truthfully, impartially and accurately report both sides, it reduces the likelihood of these situations.

Who determines what is unbiased and truthful though? If it's the state, then it doesn't work.
If it's individuals, then eventually the journalist doesn't get any views, in turn make any money, and the free market handles it naturally
