The "Claude Consensus" is simply wrong and outdated. Species determinations are often contested and depend on the "consensus of experts", ie politics.
Wolves (canis lupus) and dogs (canis familaris): disputed, but majority tend towards different species.
Dingoes: subspecies (Canis familiaris dingo), but disputed, minority say just Canis Familiaris.
Tigers and lions offspring are NOT all infertile, fertility is low but backcrosses into both parent species have been demonstrated.
Horse and donkey hybrids are even less fertile, different number of chromosones (!) But mules have given birth, and F2 hybrids are fertile with donkeys.
Human races are NOT all of recent geographical origin.
Khoisan peoples were largely reproductively isolated from other homo sapiens sapiens for 10 ky. Some Y-chromosones from tropical West Africa have been shown to have diverged 500 kya. And Europeans have significant introgression from homo sapiens neanderthalensis (~6%) diverged 400kya, and East Asians from homo sapiens denisova.
There are even wierder pockets - New Guinea Highlanders have ~80% Ig genes from a non-Homo hominid that diverged about 1mya.
Tibetan Highlanders have multiple genetic adaptions to hypoxia that diverged ~20kya. Some Ethiopian highlanders have a different set, diverged ~40 kya.
Claude doesn't know shit about anything remotely controversial...

Typical
Well, to sum up: we cared much less about races and fucked much more in the ol' good prehistoric times.
I think the evidence points the other way for the most part.
Strangers were not safe, especially if they looked weird.
So, no marriages across the Limpopo for 10ky.
Sad.
