That's sweet! But did you have to update to core 30 to get the new settings and then downgrade?

Yes. The upgrade defaulted to v30 although downgrading to v29.2 had me change the `datacarriersize` value back down from something like `10000` to the default of `83`.

Bit scary to even touch v30 in case it messes with the blockchain. I assume downgrade was quick, no redownloading of chain?

Downgrade was quick. Only required restarting the node. I actually crashed out after initiating the Bitcoin Node app upgrade and hours later changed the version. Blockchain didn’t have to redownload. It’s 100% sync’d. I suppose anything could’ve happened while I was sleeping like Nostr gnomes taking all my UXTOs. 🧌
