Bitchat is o.k. but very limited. The big advantage of reticulum is its versatility which builds networks and transfer data using simple means and a variety of transport mechanisms.

Yes I actually just trued Briar, when I heard about Bitchat. I think the core difference is the setup. Briar is all about privacy. No random connection in anyway. Bitchat in contrast allows unknown users to connect or relay messages. So without trusting a device. Briar is all with verified trust in mind. I check into Bitchat always when I am at crowded places. But did yet not have any random connection via Bluetooth mesh 😅
