Supporters? Or people who recognize that data can be put in data fields and that whether it's obfuscated or not has little difference aside from the fact that obfuscated data tends to bloat the utxo set and actually take up more space? Can't say a single supporter of covenants I've met has any regard for Citrea, ordinals, inscriptions, runes, stamps, or any of the other garbage floating around. They're just also clear eyed about the fact that 110 is as effective as banning alcohol was, if that -- with analogous side effects to boot. I do still happily run Knots without the activation code of course, because policy is where spam should be addressed.

BIP 110 LIMITS spam, and removes big data abuse. When BIP 110 activates, spammers, scammers, shitcoiners and bad actors won't be able to put single big files in Bitcoin blockchain. This removes a lot of risks. Small amounts are allowed for legitimate uses but as you say Bitcoin Knots does filter some of them out. Obfuscation in multiple transactions is possible but becomes much more expensive, which is a detractor.
