Ever want to know what its like to record in a legendary studio where mainstream artists record?

Recording the Retrograde at Muscle Shoals was wild. Huge pic dump incoming: Following the footsteps of the likes of Aretha Franklin, Alicia Keys, Keith Richards, Bono, Wilson Pickett was an unbelievable experience. You could almost feel the legendary ghosts of music past haunting the amps. An unassuming building in nowheresville usa across from a cvs. Yet as soon as you step in, you are transported back to a portal into the golden age of recording. View quoted note →

Yup and each one does a thing! A ton of little tweaks goes into getting the sound just right. It supports 56 channels or something like that.
Yes and no. Each column controls a channel (input). Generally, the board allows you to adjust levels across the EQ for each individual channel. Each knob adjust a different part of the frequency band on that channel but you just turn the knob for more or less gain on that particular frequency. You can then import all those stems into your mixing software where most the adjustments are made. All that said, im not an engineer. Im certain there are others here who would know more than me.
