With Alby, what level of event signing did you choose? I'm trying to rule out that an event needed to be signed to connect to the NSP and you did or didn't sign it.

If you choose to be reasonable, you will be spammed with approval requests for the kind 25742 events on every interaction. The NSPs will appear offline as well. If you were to, say, Deny the approval request, the outcome would be a site where all the NSPs are offline with no further interaction capability.
It may work if you say that you fully trust the application.
