Something I’ve under estimated is how impactful running my own node has been to my Bitcoin experience.
Having run my own full node and used it exclusively for years now, the thought of not using my own node is unconscionable. I won’t have a permanent home this year and my home network set up has to be packed away. I’ve moved the important self hosted services to a VPS but I’ve gone to efforts to ensure I can have a family member keep my current node online for me. It just goes hand in glove with the Bitcoin user experience.
Don’t trust, verify.

Thanks for starting the meetup in Hobart It Was my first time meeting others in this world wide wave of the truth via worldwide consensus, this thing fix’s so many problems I’m astonished and have been humbled what this protocol can achieve now and in the future ,
Cheers! Was great to kick off a community with like-minded individuals such as yourself in Tassie. Looking forward to watching the meetup grow!
