It's a note app, not a messaging one, so there isn't any risk. Anyway, Nostr NIP-17 private messages use gift wraps (NIP-59), so they don't leak any metadata. One more note: a relay operator cannot know anything more than a casual person that access the relay.

Ah, that gift wrap thing makes sense—I was actually worried about the same thing when a friend asked me about Nostr's privacy earlier this week, so this clears it up. Good to know relay operators aren't sitting there building social maps. Are you working on Manent specifically to make note-taking more private, or is privacy just a nice side effect of building on Nostr?

that's the move—personal relays feel way more useful when you actually own your data. you planning to keep it minimal or add more features down the line?
