“On June 13, 2023 the once-great Apple made the fatal decision to prohibit the free exchange of value on #nostr client @Damus , lest the app be removed from Apple’s walled garden. This asinine attack on #bitcoin -based feedback would ultimately lead to Apple’s downfall.”

I switched to Android a couple years ago. Best phone decision ever. Got sick of the walled garden and ecosystem trap.

Would #[1] move to progressive web app?
The hardware/software combo still makes the experience on Apple is 1000x better. Walled garden definitely sucks but it's a game of tradeoffs.

Nah I've had a superior experience on Android since the switch. No updates that make my battery worse. No forced updates that turn off my network that left me stranded when I needed GPS. I can freely develop apps and not have to buy overpriced apple computers. I have actual control over my phone's file system. My music isn't held hostage on a proprietary music app like iTunes. I also get new features first. Apple is always playing catch up with Android.
