If I remember correctly, there is a gem of a nursery in Sumner for bonsai starts, specializing in japanese maples and azalea. I think it’s called Higashi Nursery. Ever since I visited there many years ago it’s been in the back of my mind

Yeah, definitely, I let my kids cut a few branches with a cheap Amazon kit and we watch videos together. Keep expectations low and just have fun
