Will check this video out, thanks. Have an azalea I’ve been wanting to try my hands on.
If I remember correctly, there is a gem of a nursery in Sumner for bonsai starts, specializing in japanese maples and azalea. I think it’s called Higashi Nursery. Ever since I visited there many years ago it’s been in the back of my mind
Post pictures, sounds like you're ready
Hopefully I will figure out a way to post 3d scans. Then I can pester y’all to give me feedback ;D
Me too, we'll see how they do over winter
Weren’t you doing bonzais last year?
Yes, one of them, have expanded 😁
Very nice!
yeah, one was fun but there's only so much action you can do in one year ... having more of them i can start to be more active with different ones ... also moved them outside on that shelf and added drip irrigation
That sounds like a lot of fun. Is it the type of trees that can grow in a winter climate? (Inside obvi)
The ones I have can do winter down to about 0 farenheit without much care
Really? And is this the kind of project I could do with my 6 year old? We can discover together you think?
Yeah, definitely, I let my kids cut a few branches with a cheap Amazon kit and we watch videos together.
Keep expectations low and just have fun
