“Worst thing that ever happened to mankind” is a moral ranking, and rankings need a standard above human opinion or they’re just preference dressed up as fact.
If God’s not real, that’s just neurons firing that you happen to dislike. You need the very thing you’re denying to make the claim mean anything at all.
