Bryan blew my mind when he says in the interview, “we don’t live in a capitalist society: we live in a socialist one”. I’d always said ‘crony capitalism’ or some such thing like at 27mins in your conversation. But since hearing Joe Bryan I’ve been seeing it differently.
Either Joe Bryan in the interview, or someone else in another, makes the point that “you can’t have capitalism with fiat money”. This too blew my mind and really has me thinking every time someone says, “something something capitalism” I think, “no: it’s socialism “.
