Looking to move to this from Nextcloud. How have you found it? I use the Nextcloud as a Snap package and the included Apache reverse proxy is bossy and makes too hard to host other services on the same server. Storing and sharing files is about all we do with it so Seafile seems a much better fit.
seafile is shit because it stores your files in their own format, locking you in
nextcloud stores your files as they are
I'm trialing Seafile anyway and share your reservations about a proprietary storage format even though it has some benefits. I came across FileRun. Have you used it? Maybe a better alternative?
FileRun isn't open source though.
I think that I'll do incremental backups of my Seafile libraries using WebDAV mounts to ensure raw files are backed up and avoid relying on Seafile for restoration.
