Think of it like this; you have a local relay on your phone that you post to. It keeps a record of all your notes local and at the same time blasts the notes out to the broader Nostr network. One of those relays that it blasts to is also yours but it keeps a record of the data public for others to find. This could also go for your blossom media, you upload to your local relay as a “backup” of your blob, and then it mirrors to public blossom server that other people can find.

Nostr is the rebirth of the open web. No algorithms, no gatekeepers, just pure signal. 💜 ❤️
Is there a way for others to access your local relay?
fun project 😁
I think there is no local blossom
I just made one possible on iOS
How does it work, do you need to determine storage?
Is it FOSS? If so, where does the repo live?
MIT too. Nice. Thanks for building and sharing.
Of course! I’m just trying to make cool stuff, probably still super buggy, but it’s nostr ;) I wouldn’t have it any other way
Could Haven seed modest size files, up to 10MB, to other blossom servers and reseed them if servers go down or drop the blobs?
Does Blossom support delete requests?
