Just audio uploads on Amethyst and nice mp3 player .. after giving it much thought .. I concluded RSS is antiques.. no need .. The point of RSS was to be platform independent.. #nostr already does that .. so there is no additional value .. trying to support existing podcast apps is like throwing water on California fires !

Saying there is no value is viewing this from a very ignorant consumer-centric point of view. The shiniest new tech doesn't always win. If you want a nostr music or media player, that pretty much exists. If you want freedom-oriented decentralized music that enables artists to create more music, then we need RSS. But we need it not necessarily for the best in class newest technology but for the various underlying music ecosystem infrastructure that it has already established. Music is a lot more than just making a song and having someone play it. Publishing and distribution are each entire industries in and of themselves. RSS already has this. Nostr does not. And if you think it does, get a lot more humble, or a lot more educated on the music industry. Doing media playback on nostr is easy and if thats all you want, I agree, no need for RSS. But you're missing the entire point of what we are actually aiming to fix here. We arent here just to play some sweet new indie tracks duuude. We understand the plight of artists. The middle market of the music industry is dying and thats where most of the innovative music (that doesnt also make your ears bleed) comes from. The industry is captured and these guys are on the altar. If you give a shit about music or culture, you should give a shit about this and zoom out because its bigger than nostr. If we want to properly execute on wrenching music from the grasps of the big 3 music cartel, then it starts with nostriches getting more humble, taking a serious look at DeMu and what the RSS community has to offer. Understand theres a lot more at play here and the success of an ecosystem requires more than just superior tech.
