Yeah it’s just like the motherfuckers from CBC only showing scattered groups of people on the camera, while behind them 180 degrees was a sea of a quarter million people in Ottawa on the grounds of parliament.

Me and my hippy buddy drove for 4 days in shit weather and nearly got smoked head on by two semis avoiding snowdrifts to get there. Not to protest. That is a waste of time. I just wanted to see to what degree it was being underreported. Once I got there I experienced the first bit of national pride I have ever experienced. It was magic. The coolest thing was that there were 30+ local people I knew that wanted to go that couldn’t. Attendance would’ve been 10x if the country wasn’t so damn big. Instead, these good people handed us wads of cash to cover fuel and accommodations all the way there and back. The whole trip was about $1200. I think I was out of pocket maybe $60 by the time it was over. The thing that impressed me the most was the number of Gen Z kids I met from our home province and further west in BC. It really gave me hope that we can push back against these forces that are threatening our freedom and pursuit of happiness.
