One of the things protecting us from the Federal Government was that many databases were siloed. You could still slip through the cracks. Real ID closes many of those cracks.
Also it's a massive honeypot for hackers having this huge central database.
It wasn't that long ago that you could live your entire life in America as a citizen without the Feds even knowing you existed. As it should be.
