There's a surprising amount of wishful thinking, naivety, virtue signaling and grand-standing here from self-proclaimed sovereign individuals.
Maybe I'm getting old and grumpy, or maybe I'm just on the front lines for too long being self-employed for over ten years. It's a day to day struggle against the state and all its institutions, it's not just theory and fairytales for people like me.
This ad space discussion is hilarious, like its 2010 all over again. HOW DOES FACEBOOK MAKE MONEY? Will my account cost money? Should I forward this chain mail to disagree with the data collection?

Privacy is extremely important, and bitcoin enables financial privacy and bitcoin will save the internet from ad-funded AI-slop ragebait
Taking down all big corporations, especially those that can spy on us (banks) and those that can manipulate us (social media algorithms)

Hyperbitcoinization will likely eventually decrease the size of the state, which some socialists won't like. I'm curious if and how European-style healthcare and transport infrastructure can survive, but otherwise I think most people on the left - once they truly understand bitcoin - will be supportive (and won't have to change their mind too much
