After months of work, this video didn't take off on nostr, even though I posted it at the most relevant possible time after the ColdCard hack.
Does anyone else make videos with this level of production and publish them on nostr before YouTube? #asknostr
Reminds me of the million times people asked about hardware wallets on asknostr and most npubs recommended coldcard, which I never did, yet the people recommending coldcard kept getting more followers than me.
Even reddit is giving this video a better response than nostr. Can you even believe that?
I'm encrypting data on a Nintendo 64. But why?
Retro-Crypto for the Nintendo 64 is an open-source app that lets you generate keys, encrypt and decrypt data, and more. It's still in development, but I thought I should hurry up and finish this showcase video after the recent ColdCard hacks.
Also featuring the likely first use of VideoStore Codec by Digital Assistant, an open-source tool for embedding files in the corner of a video. The minimum required resolution to extract the files from this video seems to be 720p, based on my testing before posting.
As with all my videos, this is being published on nostr first, before YouTube, but it will be on both soon.
Internet Archive mirror link - will include some additional project files, such as the VideoStore payloads and the plain N64 footage
