In the final days of the regime, the U.S. once again meddled in Spain and pressured Franco to reinstate the monarchy; when Franco died, the CIA assassinated Carrero Blanco, who was the prime minister at the time and opposed U.S. interests.

Even today, you can still find ammunition, and you can tell which is German and which is Soviet by its condition—the German ammunition was high quality, while the Soviet ammunition was made of brass and deteriorates very quickly.
