We face three choices: pay with privacy, or it cannot continue to operate, or pay with Bitcoin ecash.

Anonymous systems need (often very small) fees. Fees don't need to harm your privacy. The internet is broken because there's no good way to make small and private payments for services you use. This has been an issue from day one. Ecash fixes this. View quoted note โ†’

Bull to you pimping bitcoin. Where are folks on this app that are not making it the only damn option for a narrative here? No real news sources, museums, artists, scientists, regular folks, bird or flower imagery, actual qualified or qualified philosophers?

Perhaps because you don't understand why Bitcoin is crucial, you find our constant discussion of it boring.

That is a presumptuous projection on your part. It is also a point of view that compels you to justify your point of view. It isn't important unless someone has game in it as a source of money. No one I know & have known advocates or uses it except those in the bubble here. Had this app been taken over by you pimps?
Because the people that want to be free of centralised control of social media also want to be free of centralised control of money. There are other interests too, but most people are open to Bitcoin. Not that's it's a requirement for using nostr.

Free cannot last forever. Relay operators need to pay expenses.
