Tether, out of all.... Well, credit where credit is due.
Tether supports the fake fiat system. Wolf in sheep's clothing, I'd excercise more caution in your endorsements. We're here for freedom tech and digital cash, not fiat number go up.
we have issued over 300 grants, all listed on our website we do not fund corrupt devs if you believe the last part feel free to never update your node or wallets going forward
Hey Odell, we're throwing a button in the app that zaps the open sats. Thought I should say something so that It doesn't look like i'm grifting.... image I'm building strava/nike run club on nostr. An exercise tracker and free platform for fitness organizations to sell tickets to virtual events like 5k's and Half Marathons. Let me know if we need permission or something to be throwing Opensats name in here, we're going to support multiple charities like the HRF and the ALS network.....you guys are our first stop.
this is good news. 🗞️ 📰 for an applicant such as myself! Give the app a test run 🏃‍♂️ Hisa available on Zapstore ! :)
donations can accelerate progress but are not sustainable long term profitability for projects is strictly better, when possible

Congrats brother 👏 Let's keep building 💪
it is very possible for a foss project to be profitable, its a harder path so few take it tokens and ads are not needed start9 is my favorite example
nice to have you back Darth, though perhaps your time spent building a house is better spent building :P
sure, i think that’s good for the user, start9 will have to remain competitive rather than lock users in to a shit product its the harder path and most investors would not back that type of strategy but at Ten31 we are proud to support it
I like this model soo much. Because you'd think better quality products/services would come from it. Although, when a VC with access to cheap credit comes in and fucks it up, to simply make more money. It's not really scalable or sustainable is it?
Will these grants ultimately be used to make Bitcoin better or worse as money though? Most of the devs in this space don't seem to be very mission aligned. 🤨
bitcoin is the best money and a robust open source ecosystem makes it even better we have distributed over 300 grants, all are listed on our website, our track record speaks for itself
we do not have access to cheap money, most of our investors measure their opportunity cost against bitcoin just because most venture capital is filled with assholes does not make investment capital inherently bad investment and profit is generally good for society, decades of cheap money has corrupted many but markets will correct back to sanity

I was scrolling this thread in the hopes of finding some insight into your position on the Knots vs Core debate. This was because I saw one comment mention Knots on Start9. I didn't find what I was looking for. However, I noticed something else and wanted to chime in. Even in an environment like this, theres lots of name-calling, and they're used as arguments in Bitcoin debates. I thought it wouldnt be as toxic as Twitter here...and it isn't. But it's still sad to see. I don't get the hate you've been getting under this post. You and Marty were the ones that actually taught me what Bitcoin self custody looked like, and what the benefits of FOSS were. I deleted my X account thanks to you both and never looked back. Aside from Saifedean's book that literally orange-pilled me, you are the only 2 bitcoiners that I found that weren't openly shilling some products because of a fat paycheck. You give credit where credit is due. You tell your listeners of your free podcast to stack sats, do their own research and you provide valuable information on all sides of every important Bitcoin debate. So for all the negative comments you're getting on this note, I wanted to balance it out with a thank you for the work you're doing. You've inspired me to want to contribute to Bitcoin adoption and have changed my view on what integrity-driven business models look like. But that's just my opinion. Other Bitcoin influencers pushed me to Ledger. You guys steered me towards other open source solutions for self custody. I watched your tutorial on how to use a coldcard. That's At the risk of sounding patronizing when I'm just a humble plebs, don't let those negative comments outshine the real impact you've had on thousands of people, including myself.
crazy that people who are doing absolutely nothing for the network have a problem with people who are actually doing something
