I am staying so close in front of the abyss. Phantosmia since over 10 years, non-stop seizures since days. Last healing attempt via "ReMag" liquid magnesium: no success.
I have two last heal attempts, if those both fail, you will soon not hear again from me, not only because I wont be able to pay internet bills anymore next year.
Wish me luck, one of the last attempts occurs on 20. nov, 2 days before my birthday.

That sounds distressing, what's your condition? Do you have a good doc?
I discovered phantosmia reading your posts, seems like a very difficult condition. Does a saline nasal rinse using a neti pot bring some relief ? Neti pot rinse with Himalayan salt. I suppose that's something you've already tried ? Does castor oil or CBD help ? I hope you will find a solution, keep us posted.
But it looks like phantosmia can be caused by respiratory infections. So one thing i would try is colloidal silver, which is an incredible and very safe antibiotic. It must be easy to find in Switzerland. You can use it internally (drink it) and also using a nasal spray or with a nebulizer. That's the first thing i'd try, nasal spray with colloidal silver (10ppm or 15ppm) many times a day, and if it helps then it could be due to some kind of infection. Good luck !

Thank you for taking the time to search for a solution! Throughout the 10 years I met many doctors and tried countless methods, including most of yours. Some methods provided temporary relief, but stopped working. The phantosmia only got worse.
I am almost out of time aka money. I need a solution that works, so that I can work again. Thats why my last two attempts are:
- Meeting a doctor who might possibly know someone who can do the "transnasal endoscopic exhibition of olfactory epithelium" surgery. Based on my luck, they probably rather know Donald Duck.
- Trying Venlafaxine, which, according to research, has brought relief in one case of phantosmia.

What do you mean with condition 😅? I am in the pre-starving condition.
I met many good doctors throughout the 10 years. But they haven't been good enough to help me out of this misery.

Is that an illness by itself? When I search for it, I see phantosmia listed as a symptom. For example Anti-Phospholipid Antibody Syndrome (APS) seems to cause seizures and phantosmia. The same for Burning Mouth Syndrome (BMS) -- links below. [I'm hoping this can be helpful to you, but let me know if you prefer not to chat about this]

That said, so far no doctor was able to diagnose an illness that is causing my phantosmia.

True, illness vs. symptom is not always clear, but the key to a cure is finding the root cause and looking for a treatment that will remove or decrease that root cause.
Apparently acid reflux is one thing that can cause BMS, many people have acid reflux without knowing it.
Of course I do. They could have been born with that or they could have had an accident or it could have been a progressive illness. We are in 2025 if you meet someone that knows something about new cures, better you explain in detail to see if there is hope. Or not. Whatever
