I was chatting to some friends about this. They're pretty normie but we started speaking about digital identity and digital ownership and how that's always been a thing in cryptography - and how things shifted from the 'honeymoon' phase of the early 2010's - when everyone was sending Vines and shit and stuff on social media felt 'good' and you wanted to actually try out some new platform. But since 2020, that shit 180'ed and it's more vital these days to have your own ownership and identity online, not just from a ID perspective, but also with the advent of AI and data gathering, actually commoditising and owning your data (equity)
